Lena H. Chandhok

This is Lena's fifth year at BHMS and third year as Art Teacher, after working as cohort support starting in 2020. Lena has a BA in Art from the University of California at Santa Cruz (home of the Banana Slugs) and an MFA in Comics and Sequential Art from the Center for Cartoon Studies—one of the few schools in the nation dedicated to comics and cartooning. As of September 8, 2022, Lena has a 517-day streak learning Yiddish on Duolingo and promises that one day she will defeat that owl for good. When she's not teaching or drawing, Lena likes to knit, play video games, and bake desserts that are theoretically for sharing.
